All our Animals are adopted and have been neutered for a reason. There are far to many unwanted animals in this world that are put to death every day. Much of that could be prevented if people adopted or had there animals spayed or neutered. For most people there is no reason to have a pet that can breed. If you are looking for a pet please look at the shelter or a rescue organization first. Most people will find a wonderful pet like we did without supporting Puppy mills like the pet stores use. For love and affection that only a pet can give please adopt.

Once you find your pet the responsibility has just begun. Many people give up perfectly good friends because they do not learn to speak their language. Our pets count on us to give them the proper medical care and nutrition. They also count on us to teach them how to be good members of our household. In order to do that your will need to go to school with them and do your homework assignments with their help. You must learn how to think dog because if you treat them like a human they will not fit in well with you family. If you learn how to think like a pack animal you will have many happy years with your dog. It also helps with your spouse and kids. Just don't tell them your treating them like one of the pack. We could learn a lot from pack animals. They do whatever is needed to help the pack survive and everyone is treated fairly. They also have lots of fun playing and howling together.

	Monty was adopted from Rescue a Golden of Arizona in 2000.  Drew was such a great dog we thought he should have a brother. Monty was brought to Golden Rescue by a vet who saved Monty from being euthanized. Monty's family could no longer afford to care for him. He had Valley Fever and Seizures and needed lot's of Care and medicines. The vet asked the family who brought Monty if he could have him instead of killing him. They agreed and that's when the vet called Golden Rescue. Rescue put Monty in one of their Foster homes and we meet him there. They had 2 Golden's of their own and were caring for Monty till they could find a good home for him. It is hard to find homes for Dogs with Medical Problems. Since we got him Monty also needs thyroid medicine but his Valley Fever is getting better. Since we have had him his Medical care has been well over $5000 with Golden Rescue paying more than half of it. They have paid for all the expenses related to his Valley Fever.  Update: Unfortunately Monty died of Liver Failure due to many of the medications that he had to be on for his many problems. Monty will always be with us in our hearts and we know he will be waiting at the Rainbow Bridge when we get there and we were so lucky to have him for the short time we did.
	Drew was adopted from Rescue a Golden of Arizona in 1997. He was bought by a woman as a gift for her boyfriend. The boy friend did not like him. Like a good person she got rid of the boyfriend. She brought him (Drew) home and loved him like one of her own. He was still a puppy and had all those cute (annoying to some) habits. Her room mate said either you go or the dog goes. She could not afford to move so she called Rescue a Golden and asked if they could find someone to love him. We were lucky to get such a wonderful dog to live with us.
	Ruth as you may have noticed is a Cat but he does not know that. My wife found him by the side of the road trying to cross a Major Four Lane Street (so she says). I was away on a trip and came home to find this little furball cuddling with the Dogs trying to keep warm. His name is Ruth because he was so young when she found him that you could not tell if he was a boy or a girl. He has grown up with the dogs and other than his instinctual habits he does a lot of things the dogs do. He even likes dog biscuits and tries to help Monty with his Dog Bones.
	Debi, Bill's wife loves dogs and gets to walk the as much as she can. Without Debi, Bill would have never been able to have dogs because of his schedule and would not have know how much love he is capable of.
	Bill has been an Airline Pilot for one of the smaller Airlines in Phoenix AZ for the last 9 years. While it is a job that he loves it is not the same as it used to be. For the few years he has been looking for something that he could do and be home with his family (pack) every night. He started BillsDogs.com 4 years ago just so he could see his dogs sleeping in front of the door in the living room. He'd have one in the bedroom so he could watch his wife sleeping but she won't have it. Anyway what started out as a way to "visit home" everyday on the road has become quite a phenomenon.
